Hello, book friends, and welcome to the first What We’re Reading Wednesday post of April! This month has brought the April showers notion to fruition, as we’ve had pretty much nonstop rain the last couple of days here.

I’ve been making good space for reading in the mornings and evenings again, which has felt really nice. If I’m going to keep up with my April ARCs, I’ll need the speed for sure.

Recent Reads

I finished up Old Flames and New Fortunes* last night and will be working on my review soon, most likely to go up tomorrow. Overall I very much enjoyed it!

Also wrapped up I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are last week, which was good fun overall with lots of laughs, as expected.

Then I was really feeling the need for more audiobook content so I let Spotify recommend my next read, My Friend Anna: The True Story of a Fake Heiress, which is about a friend of the notorious con artist Anna Delvey. It was fascinating to read about the con, but I did have…
