Happy Wednesday, book friends! Hard to believe it’s the first week of September, and the week I’ve been dreading for ages is here.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the start of a new month. But this week is super hectic because my husband accidentally triple booked us, and I helped by scheduling Azula’s annual vet appointment on top of it. This weekend, we’re going to our friends’ wedding but Mr. Your Book Friend also signed up to sell his produce at a local festival. Lots of logistics going into that one, but first… we’re dogsitting, which means our dog constantly herding poor Dewey all around the house. And yesterday I had to take Azula to get her vaccinations. Quite a week, and it’s only Wednesday.

But now that it’s here, that looming calendar date full of busy-ness, it’s not really that bad. I’ve even had a little bit of time to read in the evenings when the dogs settle down.

I finished up Summer Romance*, which was a ton of fun and a great way to more or less round…
