Three Pillars of Success

I had the opportunity to participate in a podcast by Michael Zipursky. The theme of the webinar covered the 5 Pillars to create and scale your consulting business to a 6-figure business.

Michael provided an accurate blueprint of how to do just that and centralized around consultants for B2B, small businesses, and high paying clients. Broken into a step by step guide; this podcast offered so much for the price… $0.00!!!! I noticed there was a parallel similarity with where small businesses get lost and found that small businesses don’t know who their ideal customer is, do not have a magnetic message which brands themselves or their product, and lastly have no marketing engine to catapult their business with traction and momentum. In mentoring small businesses; I’ve taken the first three pillars and coached my clients to find their clarity. Here is how I paved the way for them:

Pillar 1. Who is your ideal customer?

Having a clear definition of who your ideal customers allow you to gain traction and gain better positioning with conversion. 65% of entrepreneurs are not clear as to who their ideal clients are which leaves 35% of entrepreneurs with a clear idea of those customers and clients; monopolizing the market. Finding your customer may not be who you think you could sell to but rather, who you should sell to.

I have one client that has a topical organic solution which relieves pain. All pain. So, in his journey of oblivion, he could not push the project to a funneled targeted audience. Since the suggestion of what type of pain was so broad; I recommended him to introduce his product to naturopaths and allow them to identify who was buying his product. In essence, the naturopaths were doing the A/B testing for him.

Pillar 2. Magnetic Messaging

This message you write will be all about establishing communication. Effective communication at that. You attempt to form a solid bond through this message and get your ideal client to want to listen to your conversation. The magnetic messaging ultimately leads your ideal client needing your services in more ways than one. Just get your client comfortable and be confident. Clarity, consistency, and the forthcoming information are essential for this step. To be transparent; your information must be verifiable.

Pillar 3. The Marketing Engine

Develop a marketing campaign which places you directly in front of your ideal client. You want to obtain their attention and keep their interests. I recommend:

· Writing articles/books/booklets

· SEO

· Interactive clinics

· Tradeshows

· Social Media

· Blogs/Vlogs

These campaigns should be used in unison and not a la carte! The shift in clarity through all three of these pillars will guarantee your success, gain momentum, and shorten the sales funnel.
