Kingdom Two Crowns Review

Build. Explore. Defend. Conquer.

2 D side-scrolling, strategy, and modern pixel art. Those are words that describe Kingdom Two Crowns but it’s so much more than a few words. It’s fun at times, peaceful, and other times it’s frustrating and difficult yet it feels so rewarding.

You can play this game with a friend or alone.

Now for the story…you’re a king! You ride on your trusty steed looking for peasants to help build your kingdom and protect it from a variety of enemies called Greed who are trying to tear it all down and steal what’s precious to you! And I’m serious about them stealing. They take your gold, your tools, and even your workers!! Just don’t let them take your crown cause you will lose your kingdom without a crown.

All of this is strategic. You have to build your kingdom at the right time while also collecting money, getting the right amount of people to do certain tasks and deciding when it’s time to move on to the next location. It all may sound hard but it’s not. You’ll get the hang of the game pretty fast.

Each location is an island. The more islands you conquer, the harder it gets. But you also get other resources to help you. New steeds, materials to build with, artifacts and characters that can make certain areas of your kingdom better.

Also the more in game days you go through, the harder the game gets. So be quick.

To win, you must destroy the portals. Every time you destroy a portal, Greed attacks more aggressively tho so strategy plays a big part in this.

So far I’ve only played the medieval maps but there are other maps available too, Dead Lands and Shogun. Both unique and allowing the players to play in a different setting with different steeds, and basically feeling like a whole new game.

I personally recommend this game especially if you have a friend to play with.
