The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) has awarded Navy Lodge Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida, the Certified Guest Service Property designation. To achieve this title, all guest-facing employees at the property participated in AHLEI’s Guest Service Gold® training and earned the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) certification.

General manager Dominic Lewis, CHS, is no stranger to “going for the gold” with AHLEI. In September 2015, while he was general manager of Navy Lodge Everett in Marysville, Washington, he led his team to become the Navy’s first Certified Guest Service Property. He transferred to Navy Lodge Mayport in October 2016.

Lewis is pictured with Navy Lodge Mayport supervisors Wayne Davis (maintenance), Charie Lookadoo (housekeeping), and Judy Henry (guest service) and the property’s Certified Guest Service Property plaque.
