Don’t Solve Anything
— You left me again.
— I am here, aren’t I?
— You did. You always do. Like that one time I had a bat in my room. I was scared, and you walked out.
— It was a bat. Why would you insist on staying there?
— It was my room. You tell me you love me, but you never stay by my side.
— When I stay, things get worse. You use me as an excuse make an attack on everything.
— I am not perfect, but you could wait for couple hours to let things cool down. Do you have to walk away each time?
— I wanted to talk, but you turned your back on me. What do you want me to do? I feel like I am walking through a mine field. No matter what I do, it’s always becomes the wrong answer. So I gave you the space you needed.
— You were gone for weeks.
— If I stay, everything becomes my fault.
— Why don’t you just pay attention?
— I pay attention to you more than anybody else..
— That’s not the point. You see. You still don’t listen. You always talk. You treat me like I am your pet project. Somebody who needs to be fixed all the time.
— You are not a project. I want you to be fine, but you always figure out a way to become destructive. If I stay, I have to do nothing. The storm you create effects me too.
— Maybe if you just listen…
— I would, if it was gonna solve anything, but it never does.
— Doesn’t matter, don’t solve anything, just listen.
Just Listen
