Tal, a high school student and YFA volunteer from Israel puts her art skill to use by helping manifest Shankar’s dream of being free in a sanctuary and NOT shackled in Delhi Zoo.

Shankar, an African elephant is living in deplorable, solitary conditions in the Delhi zoo for decades. Ironically Shankar was a diplomatic gift from Zimbabwe to India and was named after India’s 9th President, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.

YFA is making effort to have him released to a sanctuary with some of his own kind, by engaging with concerned authorities through letters, negotiations, petitions and if needed, a PIL.

Would be great if you can lend your voice for the voiceless by signing the petition and sharing it forward. Thanks so much. #FreeShankarDelhiZoo
