YLC participates in CAYCJ annual meeting

Last week YLC participated in a powerful strategic planning meeting with the California Alliance for Youth and Community Justice (CAYCJ) and over 50 fellow advocates committed to ending the incarceration of youth in California. At the meeting, held at CAYCJ’s new home in Los Angeles (a converted former juvenile court facility), participants developed next steps for expanding alternatives to youth incarceration and brainstormed possible policy reforms to transform, and ultimately eliminate, the current juvenile justice system in California.
