Dear Society,
I want you to understand,
Cleaning and cooking is a basic life skill not a gender role.
I want you to understand,
Don’t call me “dad’s little princess”. I’m “dad’s tough girl” who knows how to survive tough times.
I want you to understand,
When you say “let people wear what they want”, I hope you include Muslims in hijabs and men in makeup, not just girls in skirts.
Why is it so when a man says “No it’s the end of conversation”, but when a women says “No, it’s the beginning of a negotiation”.
You men accuse feminist for being angry all the time, yet I’ve never seen anyone more infuriated than men reacting to feminism.
When women talk about equality, they talk of opportunity, equal pay, freedom, but when men talk about equality they talk about whether or not they can hit a girl back or about giving up bus seats. LOL you’re all tiring us out.

We need feminism because,
Men back off only if we say “ I’m married”. But never if we just say “No”.
We need feminism because,
A male leader is a “boss” but a female leader is “bossy”.
My type of feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women are already strong, it's about changing the way the world perceives that strength.
The skirt is never too short. The makeup is never too slutty. The time is never too late, but yes, we are asking for attention. attention to hear the screams, to see the broken spine, and especially when we say NO.
"Don't judge a girl by her clothes." Skirt said.
"Then, why do you always assume that I am uneducated?" Salwar questioned.
My mom always reminded all year when I step out with a tricolored pin on my t-shirt, "Come back before 6 pm." We still await for independence.
'Reserved for women' the sign above the seat read. A feminist in me wanted to sit with privilege but the women in me wanted me to sit with my gut partially opened until the bus reached my stopping.
So are the short clothes the only problem? Shorter the skirt, longer the stare.

I really wish to be more than the name on just another wedding card. Kindly wait.

Girls don’t make noise!
When that old uncle touches you in the staircase and go home terrified.
When that science tutor shows to be friendly and grabs your body at some point, you run to your home gather the courage to tell your mom you don’t like science.
When that man touches you abruptly, the touch which comes without a notice, but the lady in the front looks at you knowing it already, in a way that she commands you to be quite because girls don’t make noise!
When your PET teacher grabs you from behind calling himself a coach and you run classroom putting your head down saying it headache but this headache never ends because girls don’t make a noise!
When that random man touches you in a crowded place and you turn right there, but he disappears. You feel like screaming but you can’t because girls don’t make noise.
Asked a girl if she’s ever been harassed and she said “not really, just normal stuff…catcalling, groping etc.,”. Why have girls normalized this abusive- culture. This! Is! Not! Normal!

“And Cinderella never asked for a prince.
She asked for a night off and a dress.”

Yours,
Bad Feminist.
