The wonders of football abound; it is one of the oldest sports known to mankind. Records dating back more than 2000 years have been found in China.

Greece, Rome, and parts of Central America also claimed that they had started this sport. With such a long history, it is only natural that there are a lot of interesting football wonders that any soccer fan would like to know about.

The form of the earth has been the subject of innumerable debates, but did you know that your favorite game ‘football’ has never been played with a spherical ball? Although a football is truly oval, the crossing horizontal and vertical lines give the impression that it is perfectly round.

While Americans and the rest of the world are fighting over Soccer and Football, most people are unaware that the game was originally known as “Basket-ball” due to its first accidental goal, which occurred around wicker baskets.
