Join us for an Instagram Live with Denzel Walters, Cofounder of CGV and YSYS Community Host Aji Ayorinde on Monday 18 May at 6:00pm, where Denzel will be sharing advice on how to connect with angel investors during these unprecedented times.
Denzel is a co-founder of Community Growth Ventures (“CGV”), which is an angel-operator group that invests capital and expertise in diverse founders. CGV has screened over 200+ start-ups, invested in Afrocenchix, and held office hours with Tech Hub and Episode 1 Ventures.
Denzel is an experienced financial analyst and consultant, with 6 years at the Bank of England and 2 years a financial regulatory consultant for asset management. He has a background in assessing various business models sustainability, analysing financial performance, and in the commercial application for regulation across the financial services.
This live session with Denzel is designed to provide some guidance on:
- How start-ups can engage with angel investors in the face of COVID-19
- What this means for the future interaction between angels and start-ups
- Some of the differences between angel investment and venture capital investment
