The Impact of COVID-19 on Diverse Founders Report (2020)
Earlier this month we teamed up with Extend Ventures, BYP, 10x10, CGV, Kwanda and Bethnal Green Ventures on a Community Survey to find out how diverse founders have been impacted COVID-19. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey and shared their experiences with us.
As a result, we have been able to gain a deeper understanding of how we as an ecosystem can support diverse founders, and design tailored activities that address their current needs. Below we have summaries our findings and listed live resources and opportunities.

With 36% of diverse founders citing loss of income 18.8% worried about cash flow, 39% seeking angel investment and 36% looking to make grant applications as an ecosystem we will be working with the community to host workshops on managing cashflow, creating a sales strategy, best practices on applying to grant applications and how to connect with angels investors.
In addition, with 29% of diverse founders seeking mentorship, 23% coaching 21% community, 16% wellbeing, and 9% office hours, we will be placing a great emphasis on supporting our community with wellbeing and connecting them to mentors and coaches.
Kwanda
Kwanda is a collection pot for black communities. They are currently working on a project to cover the costs of therapy for black individuals. Find out more HERE
10x10
10X10 is a community of black game-changers, founders, and investors. On Friday 29th May they will be hosting a safe space session for black individuals to discuss any challenges they may be facing personally or professionally. Sign up HERE
