In recent weeks, it has become clear that COVID-19 is a global crisis affecting our community. In these challenging times, we want to do everything we can to support you.

We’ve seen some generous offers from startups, helpful services, and smart initiatives from YSYS community, from online journalling to investor office hours — everybody is playing their part to keep the community spirit going.

YSYS Members Community Initiatives.

UpEffect: Founded by Sheeza Shah is a platform that crowdfunds transformative solutions to global issues. They are waiving their platform fee for all campaigns combatting COVID-19 and its effects. They will also be offering further campaign support services. REGISTER HERE.

Amaliah: Founded by Nafisa and Selina Bakkar is a media platform amplifying the voices of Muslim women through articles, events, podcasts, and videos. In order to bring some joy to self isolations, they have brought Amaliah Nights In online, featuring Instagram Live session on yoga to journalling. Want to get involved, follow @AMALIAH_COM

Tectonic: Founded by Nana Parry is a consultancy that helps founders and companies validate business ideas with their exact target customers. They’re offering Free Office Hours to provide business support, tips and advice to those in need of guidance in these uncertain times. BOOK A SLOT HERE

10X10VC: Founded by Andy Davis, is a group of black and mix-race VC’s whoo mentor founders and aspiring VC’s. Every Friday they will be on Google Hangout to answer any questions black and mixed-race founders have regarding fundraising. To join REGISTER HERE

#FoundersDoor alumni Emanuel Oyemade takes it upon himself to produce 3D printed face shields for healthcare workers in Brighton after hearing about the shortage of PPE. He’s recently launched a Go Fund Me with a goal of to donate 100 face shields to health centres in Brighton. A donated of £10 can produce 2, to support visit HERE
