If Obama ordered from Yum
The most powerful man on earth was in Kenya. He was here for an entrepreneurship summit that saw us close for two days due to road closures again sorry for that. However, it got us thinking, what if we were able to deliver food to him — what restaurants would he be interested in? This got us scouring the internet for some of Obama’s favorite meals. Let’s dive in:
1. Pizza
The president of the United States like any warm blooded human being loves pizza. Go figure. Rumor has it that once his favorite pizza place flew all the way from Chicago to Washington DC just to deliver him a piece of his favorite slice. He likes it with a thin crust and a spicy sauce. Here’s what he might have ordered had he had the urge for some crispy goodness:
The Memphis chicken pizza. This has a house made BBQ sauce with chunks of roasted chicken breast. In our opinion might have been a possible favorite by President Obama. What do you think?
Osteria make some of the best pepperoni pizza. With their special sauce coupled with chili salami, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes; Obama might have had a ball with this.
We cannot talk about pizza and forget about Artcaffe. They make undeniably some of the best pizzas around. The fact that they have a branch in Village Market which is close to UN might have increased their chances of having Obama order from them. We figured he ight have loved the crispy bacon pizza — that’s bacon and pizza in the same meal — who wouldn’t love that?
2. Healthy snacks
We don’t know if the first lady has a hand in this or if he’s trying to set a god example for the kids but Obama does sure love eating healthy. From trail mix, bottled water and his self proclaimed love for broccoli he surely knows how to keep his body in check. If we had the chance to make a delivery to him we would definitely recommend Purple Earth
Their diverse menu of healthy items from salads to sandwiches would definitely give him the needed boost to keep up with the Kenyan itinerary.
3. Burgers
How could this not pop up on the list? We all know everyone loves a good burger. Should he have needed one delivered for a little indulgence Obama might have had fun with these menus:
We’re not trying to be biased but don’t you think the All American would be his first choice? It’s hard to beat the 160g premium minced beef served on a potato bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard & cheddar cheese. It also comes with a nice generous serving of Belgian fries.
Let’s face it, big square is synonymous with burgers here in Kenya. They have their famous squares and combo meals that would probably tickle Obama’s taste buds. Too bad they don’t have a bud to take that down with — it would have been the best combination.
They make it onto the list a second time. This tells you something about their food — it’s good. Obama might have probably dabbled in their chili burger. Sticking to his healthy eating routine he might have loved the fact that he could get a salad instead of the traditional fried potato wedges.
