does the lowly shrimp contemplate the universe?

one that folds onto itself like a favorite shirt at the
bottom of a broken laundry basket blue
like the tide that wipes away the mistakes
of fumbling fingers
trying to balance ones sanity on one pinky
spinning clockwise but sometimes \\ counter-productive
lowly shrimp has multiple legs so that it may
swim faster i suppose legs like
the hot comb that tills the fields
atop a brilliant mind
do gather every strand /// of forgetfulness and push
back into lavish man-bun
as if a man bun is not just a bao fresh out
an empress’ oven in towering pagodas that house eternal
orchids, jade gauges and long earlobes
scent of dumplings drifting from a soul-silver
lotus plate
Buddha’s palm carved into a shimmering face
and at the center [x] intersecting fate — line and head/line lies
a lowly shrimp contemplating
a blue universe
