at the moment and every day, i live in the collective vibe created by these artists. songs new and old and in no particular order. i live in a hot ass city (and when i say hot i mean the spoiled californian weather kid hot of 92–95 degrees) and i swear the heat distorts the vibe of some songs. or maybe it’s a summer thing. anywho
JOJO ABOT — Fyfya Woto — Le Le Le
one of my favorite songs of all time!! >_< Jojo Abot, afro hypno sonic goddess, is such a dope dope dope artist!!! i’ve been listening to her ep for years now ever since finding her music through the instagram of another inspiring individual, the writer and documentarian Chermelle D. Edwards (thecoffeetographer). what pains me the most is i still can’t find the lyrics to Le Le Le, but one day i will ask the african drummer that comes to the library who speaks ewe and maybe he’ll translate the song for me. fingers crossed. cuz this song grounds me like no other. her photography is also PHENOMENAL! like the styling and the colors and the concepts…gaaaah
Kaiit — Miss Shiney
“And my overthinking will be the death of me/ And my pointless stressing will be the remedy/ For my motivation that I feel I need.” this is exactly what i think about on the daily. how to push my motivation. it was probably what pushed me subconsciously to finally get to workin on this everyday playlist. the music video for this song is amazing!
H.E.R. — Racks ft. YBN Cordae
i really wish i could chill with H.E.R. she gives off such a good energy. and her performance at the BET awards was a whole other level!! you see her rocking the double bass too what!? low key though, she outperformed YBN Cordae by like a lot. but he did good though.

the last minute addition to this list. like running for the subway and sliding sideways just right. yes. then you sit down and put this song on.
