honestly the whole album can get it. the whole album. KOTA is amazing. my favorite line is from the song, For Colored Boys, “We are creators; we don’t go beggin’ for placement where we are not wanted.” found this song on Still Crew’s Beware’s Block. check them out! great articles and great music!

this song is my life. the whole mixtape is amazing! i wanna be DUCKWRTH.
Tank and the Bangas — Green Balloon — Spaceships
try to listen to the single edit first. then hurry and listen to the whole album! i’ve been waiting for this album since Think Tank. Tank and the Bangas bring me so much joy, it’s unreal, and Tarriona “Tank” Ball is my hero. Spaceships is akin to what a saturday morning sounds like. Too High (Prelude) and Floating (Interlude) struck me hard.
Tobi Lou — tobi lou and the Juice — Just Keep Goin’
i wanna live in a Tobi Lou cartoon music video…and shop at Bops R’ Us. i love Tobi Lou’s music, still listen to Game Ova, still listen to tobi lou and the Loop. i also love the fact that Tobi Lou and author Tomi Adeyemi are siblings, the creativity in that family.
Lizzo — Cuz I Love You — Jerome
Lizzo is phenomenal. my favorite track fluctuates. it goes Jerome on a regular day, then Juice if i’m having a good time, and then Tempo ft. Missy Elliott if i’m having a REALLY good time. the third time she sings “I’m cryin’ cuz I love you” in the song Cuz I Love You gives me goosebumps every time.
Tierra Whack — Only Child
the vision that is contained in this divine individual knows no bounds! it’s funny because my partner is an only child and this song reminds me of him all the time.
Frank Ocean — Blonde — Self Control
when he sings, “I’ll be the boyfriend in your wet dreams tonight,” life is in that moment fireworks and palm trees and taro ice cream…makes me wanna cry.
