The Odyssey Returns For Year 54!

School newspaper welcomes new reporting staff.

The first edition of The Odyssey student newspaper at Yucca Valley High School was published (on paper) in 1968. Since then, journalism at YVHS has grown and changed over time to become the online publication it is today. This year, a new staff takes over the reigns as voice of the student body.

Jasmine Baxter (junior) is a member of ASB. Look for her work on campus life she covers social culture for the Odyssey this year.

Donny Benstead (senior) is into motocross. He will contribute to sports and photography.

David Berumen (senior) is a member of the varsity soccer team. His primary reporting focus will be media and entertainment.

Meredith Blair (junior) is involved with the yearbook and theatre programs on campus. She will contribute to a variety of content areas.

Aubrey Burton (senior) is a member of the Drama Club and participates in volleyball and track and field. She wants to communicate the high school experience to readers.

Paul Cole (junior) plays middle linebacker for varsity football, and his primary focus will be to report on campus life.

Delilah Crochetiere (junior) is interested in fiction writing and gaming. She will cover a variety of topics.

Gabriella Dencklau (junior) is an avid reader. She will contribute to opinions, offer advice, and report on academics.

Esmeralda Flores (senior) is a member of varsity soccer. She will cover sports and campus life.

Shaylah Fowles (senior) is hardworking on and off campus. Campus life, opinions, and photography will be her primary areas of focus this year.

Dominic Giunta (junior) is interested in the high school experience and spending time with friends. He will give readers a view of campus life and cover academics news.

Ryder Hermanson (junior) is a member of the varsity tennis team. He will contribute to sports coverage and photography this year.

Evalina Hohlfeld (junior) is passionate about music. She will cover culture and entertainment for The Odyssey.

Ryder Kettler (junior) is interested in art and animation. He will help cover opinions, advice, and photography.

Jim Lefrancois (freshman) is a member of Table Top Club. He will contribute to a variety of topics for The Odyssey.

Leilonie Liechti (senior) is a three-sport athlete. She will contribute to The Odyssey on many topics.

Isabella Martinez (junior) is interested in travel. She will cover campus life and opinions this year.

Ethan Mcdowell (senior) is a member of the golf team and enjoys riding motocross. He will contribute to photography and sports coverage.

Stefani Perez (senior) is interested in culinary arts and helping others. She will cover advice, opinions, and campus life.

Autumn Radcliff (junior) is a member of National Honor Society and a cross country runner. She will be covering academics from the student’s perspective.

Lucas Ramirez (senior) is a returning Odyssey reporter interested in skateboarding and drawing. He will cover a variety of topics.

Seth Russell (senior) is an appreciator of the great outdoors. He will cover advice and opinions this year.

Grace Stueckle (junior) is interested in arts and entertainment. They will contribute to The Odyssey with opinions, advice, and photography.

Hilkia Sulistyono (senior) is a returning Odyssey reporter and a member of Environmental Club. He will cover academics and sports.

Noelani Taisacan (junior) is interested in reading and watching streams. His reporting will focus on the student experience from freshman year to graduation.

Hailey Weiss (senior) is a member of cheer, swim, and ASB. She will cover a variety of topics this year.
