A guide to creating coupons for your cafe
One of the great way to attract customers is to offer coupons they can redeem while placing an order. Creating and managing coupon codes on Zagl is simple.
To create a coupon code, navigate to Shop > Offers > New Offer. To demonstrate the process, check the following screenshot where I have created a coupon JINGLEBELLS that offers 10% discount for Christmas from 15th December to 1st January.
While most of the fields are obvious, I’ll explain a few items here:
Applicable Days of Week
If you want your coupon to be eligible only on specific days of week say Tuesdays and Wednesdays, then select those days here and the coupon can only be redeemed on those days. Leave it empty if the coupon is applicable for all days.
This is the maximum number of times the customer can redeem the coupon. If you are offering unlimited redeems, then set it to ‘0’. Let’s say you are offering a first order discount and hence the customer must be able to redeem the coupon only once, then set it to ‘1’.
When the customer opens your shop on Zagl, he can see the available offers in the offers section. But if you would like to create coupons for select audience, say your local foot ball club, then you can create a coupon code and let the club fans know and mark it as exclusive here. This will make sure that this coupon will not show up in the offers section.
There are 3 types of coupons you can create:
- Amount Discount — Ex: $10 discount for orders above $20
- Percentage Discount — Ex: 10% discount for orders above $10
- Free Delivery — Ex: Free delivery for orders above $20. The delivery charge for the selected delivery area will be applied as discount. Understandable this type of coupon cannot be applied for pickup orders.
You can create as many coupons as you want based on your requirement.
Customers can easily check for available coupons and redeem them while placing an order. Checkout the following screens:
