If you’d like to set up an information centre so people can learn about you and your services, then set up a website. i.e A law firm, a tourist centre, a government agency etc,.

But if you’d like to do e-commerce or you’d like people to visit you frequently, you are thinking like a grandpa to set up a website. Here’s a simple example.

All major banks have a website that are perfectly mobile phone compatible, but they also have a great App and continue to invest in App improvements. The reason being, that is where the convenience is for the end user. If I’d like to transfer money, I wont open my browser and start typing www.whateverbank.com, I’d simply tap the App, face recognition to login, swipe to make payment. Boom, “the payment is successful”. Safe, secure and more importantly convenient.

Same thing with Facebook, they have a great website which can be opened from any mobile phone browser, but would people do that. Would facebook have grown so big by getting people to type in www.facebook.com each time they’d like to go to FB. Absolutely not.

So still thinking of setting up a website for online orders ??
