Introducing Zapper Bridge
The Easiest DeFi On-Ramp to Layer 2 and Sidechains
For anyone who’s spent time in DeFi since spring 2020, we’re all too familiar with the pain points of high transaction costs. Despite the explosive growth of our new decentralized finance system built on Ethereum, high gas prices have prevented new users and those who simply cannot afford gas fees from using a wide array of DeFi applications. While there’s light ahead of us with Ethereum L1 set to scale with sharding over the coming years, in the immediate future, we can look to existing L2 solutions for Ethereum to solve the high gas costs that are plaguing our DeFi community.
At Zapper, we listen carefully to our users as we build the ultimate platform to make DeFi easy and accessible for all. As Zapper is constantly evolving to serve the rapid pace of DeFi, we’ve identified minimizing gas costs as a top priority for our community. Despite all we’ve done to enable the most gas efficient Zaps for trading, adding liquidity, and yield farming, there’s no better way to beat high gas than moving to L2.
Recently, we unveiled a new feature called Zapper Bridge!
With all the DeFi opportunities we enable on Zapper, we’re excited to now offer users a bridge to Ethereum L2s and sidechains by supporting deposits from Ethereum L1 to Polygon. When depositing into Polygon for the first time, Zapper also deposits 0.1 MATIC to get you started paying transaction fees, which costs a fraction of a penny per transaction on average.
Zapper Bridge will eventually support these popular EVM compatible L2s and sidechains:
- Optimism
- xDai
- Arbitrum
- BSC and more!
In conjunction with Zapper Bridge, we’ve also launched multi-chain support on Zapper Dashboard for Polygon, Optimism, and BSC, starting with tracking balances for:
- Polygon token balances
- QuickSwap LPs and QUICK farming on Polygon
- Synthetix staking balances on Optimism
- BSC token balances
- PancakeSwap LP balances on BSC
- AutoFarm balances on BSC
And one more thing… We are very close to launching a feature where you will be able to add and remove liquidity on QuickSwap and PancakeSwap! All of this while seamlessly changing networks on Zapper.
