Zapper Product Update #15: Mobile App Updates, New Chains for NFTs and API Plans.

Things move quickly in web3. To help our community stay on top of the latest developments at Zapper, we share regular product updates that recap Zapper’s newest features, app integrations, and upcoming initiatives.

Last month we had some big news with the launch of the Android App. Well, things keep just getting better real fast here with already some updates and new features available for Android and iOS apps! Not only that, NFTs universe are expanding on mobile and on the dashboard supporting more two chains beyond Ethereum.

We have some important API updates for our fellow devs. And support for token holders owners on Arbitrum and Optimism. Studio integrated 15 dapps and updated another 3with new positions.

There’s some cool stuff happening in the community. And as always a little leak treat for you from our terminator in chief.

Zapper NFTs

Support NFTs on Arbitrum and Optimism

The NFT universe on Zapper is in continuous expansion! During this month the NFT Team shipped support for NFTs in not only one but two new networks, beyond Ethereum!!

You know all the NFT features you love in Ethereum? Now you also have them in Arbitrum and Optimism, with complete and reliable data about each collection in every network. Just like you’re used to.

This is a reminder of what you can do with Arbitrum and Optimism NFTs:

• You are now able to see the trending NFT collections on Optimism and Arbitrum
• View all your Optimism and Arbitrum NFTs in your Portfolio

These are the two threads we shared on twitter with the top collections of each new network, in case you’re curious to explore what you can find in the Optimism and Arbitrum Universe.

Mobile App

Mobile capacity is also expanding at speed light! Your web3 explorer pocket size now allows you to:

• Track and explore trending NFTs on Optimism and Arbitrum.

• Explore NFTs by filtering traits, token ID, addresses

• And now you can also see owners of a specific token on the token page.

Support for token holder metrics on Arbitrum and Optimism

A few months back, we launched the ability to see “owners” of a given token on Ethereum, Polygon, and Avalanche on Moonriver. This allowed users to see who the biggest holders of a given DAO’s token, or who holds the most USDC debt on Aave-v2 for Ethereum:

We have now added support on Arbitrum and Optimism for token ownership!

Now, you can see who the biggest holders are of $MAGIC tokens in Arbtirum’s TreasureDAO!

Paid Plans for Large Consumers of Zapper’s API

Earlier this month, we announced that we will be introducing paid plans for large consumers of Zapper’s API starting November 1st, 2022.

The basic idea is that users will now get a free monthly quota of queries, meant to cover the query volume for hobbyist projects. API users who query beyond the monthly quota will need to purchase API points. Users who stay within the bounds of the free monthly quota (the vast majority of our users) will experience no change in their API experience.

New & Updated Integrations on Zapper

Here are the latest community-submitted integrations that are now live on Zapper:

Updates to existing integrations:

• Homora V2 now also supports optimism.
• Mean Finance now on optimism and polygon.
• Alchemix V2 on Optimism.

Community Updates

IRL Onboarding Events

This month the Web3 community converged on Colombia for ETHBogota, ETHMedellin and Devcon VI. During that time, a special group of people took the initiative to educate the local community on the values of our space.

With the support of many projects, educators, and volunteers, Integración Bogota took place. This event was hosted for local Colombians in Bogota, and acted as a safe and welcoming environment for newcomers to take their first steps into the Blockchain world.

Participants were led through a curriculum of content, at no financial cost/risk of their own.

The goal of the curriculum was to take newcomers into a web3 journey through wallets, tokens and swaps, NFTs, DAOs and badges. It counted with the participation of Zapper, PoolTogether, POAP, ENS, Wonderverse, Nftychat, Logos, Tally, commonground and Otterspace.

All with the help of incredible volunteers from a variety of communities in the space. We at Zapper want to take a moment to shout out some of our incredible community members who took time to contribute to this initiative. They were able to do this in both Spanish and English, and were a critical component in our effort to deliver a genuinely helpful and inviting experience. These onboarding events will continue, and act as a powerful entry point for newcomers to our world. Zapper is proud to have been a part of this, along with other key pieces of Web3 infrastructure, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to onboard the next-generation of Web3 community members, together.

IRL events led by the Zapper community

Besides that, our amazing community is putting together some IRL events. So far, the calendar for November counts with:

• November 19th — Brazil, Belo Horizonte organized by Bankless Brazil
• November 29th — Turkey, Istanbul at ITU Blockchain University
