There was a time, sadness, agony, and pain were what drove art. Therefore, it influenced countless lives. At least in the language, I grew up in had a tonne of loads of advice and hopeless songs people enjoyed and vented out their sorrows, which also probably resulted to lead a relaxed life.

Later came the 21st-century trend — to be happy, grateful, and positive all the time. Few years down the line, many started complaining ‘the secret’ is not working for them. Solution — Simple! Cast the finger back and claim you are doing it wrong.

Adding to the fuel, social media amplified the levels of positivity even further. It became a toxic culture, evading from obvious truths, avoiding pain and hurt to live in an assumed world, mostly for the pictures.

We could say we are probably in a transition period, now. I believe some have started embracing the truth than a positive and happy all the time mind-set. This doesn’t mean we all should voice out victim stories and look forward to being acknowledged by views and counts. It’s more on how much should we respond and handle the hard falls in life.

Of course, it is best to balance life. Balance is a hard way to weigh each thing and…
