“If you asked me for my New Year resolution, it would be to find out who I am.”— Cyril Cusack, an Irish actor.

2017 just begins. For some, New Year means a lot to them. It gives out the new feels, new chances, same dreams and fresh starts. We tend to list out some new resolutions, or just proceed the New Year with the old ones. After all, we made promises for a better self and generally for a better life. If you don’t know how to start your 2017 for a better life, these three L’s would be great tips!

  1. Look

Look around you; the people, the scenery and what the world offers you. Observe the people around. Look how they act, their behavior and the reasons of that. Most importantly, look everything positively. Try to search even just a tiny bit of kindness in everyone. Remember to surround yourselves with positive souls and positive vibes will come naturally. One small positive thought can change your life. Positive mind, positive vibes, positive life.

2. Listen

There’s a saying “Before You Speak, Listen”. Listen as much as you can because every good conversation starts with good listening. Forget not, you must listen not because you want to reply, but listen because you want to understand, and listen in such a way that others love to speak to you. Little did we know that by listening with our full attention, it is actually a gift we give to those around us. For 2017, listen more, shall we? After all, as Zeno of Citium once said, “We have two ears and one mouth, so we should listen more than we say”.

3. Learn

Learn from your experience and others’. Pretty words from Oprah, “Learn from every mistake, because every experience, particularly your mistakes, are there to teach you and force you into being more who you are”. Of mistakes and dark past, we tend to forget them. Past is past. What we need to do is learn from it, and be the best version of us today. If you were not a punctual person before, be one for this New Year. Value your life more and keep learning, because our life is a long learning process.

Remember, look, listen and learn. Do you have any more tips for a better life? Share below!
