As an acne-prone skin sufferer, some of us really know the feels when everyone is talking and complaining about your face, about the products you should try, how you manage your skincare and blah blah blah. We also know that there will always be one kind of friend that have a flawless skin (literally) and one day, a small little pimple pop on their face and she’s going crazy like “Oh My God! Look at this terrible pimple! I hate it! My face is such a disaster!” and yeah, it feels like you want to strangle her to dead. I feel you, dear.

However, that’s the problems we should face, right? Keep holding on. Let’s go through this together. We got this!

1. Maintain Your Confidence Level

We know it’s hard to stay confident with all that horrifying acne all over your face. But having acne problem doesn’t mean you have to stay undercover. A person’s personality isn’t defined by your face, darling. Don’t let others drag you down. Prove that they can’t judge a book by its cover. Beauty attracts the eyes but personality captures the heart. Get yourself together! Find your confidence points, dressed up beautifully, create a nice personality, be good to others and you’ll be just fine. Trust us, you’re amazing just the way you are.

2. Don’t Give Up On Taking Care of Your Skin

Don’t give up. Yes, you shouldn’t. See your dermatologist, find your best skincare that suits you, and don’t be afraid to try any natural home remedies to treat your acne. We know that you may have tried a thousand kinds of skincare products and most of them are a failure. Tired, isn’t it? But you know, don’t stop. However, of course you need your dermatologist’s advice on top of that. Don’t just put on any kinds of products without professional advice. Seriously, don’t. Some products can cause allergic reactions to you and that can make your skin condition worse. It will be a nightmare.

3. Living a Healthy Lifestyle

This one is the most important thing you should take care of. Eat and live healthily. Choose the right food intake and don’t underestimate the importance of exercising. Plan your healthy meal daily; avoid any food that can trigger your acne problems. Avoid junk food and food that contain gluten. Replace your diet with veggies and fruits to gain some extra vitamins that is beneficial for your skin. Do simple exercise routine every day to increase your blood circulation that brings more oxygen to your skin cells and clean the waste in your skin at the same time. Don’t be lazy, get yourself up.

4. Don’t Stress Out

Can stress trigger your acne problem? Yes, of course. When your body is under stress conditions, there’s a hormone change that can cause the increasing amount of excess oil that secretes out of your skin which we all know it is the main cause of acne. We know it’s hard to not to get stressed by the horrendous acne on your face plus the environment factors that is surely hard to handle. However, try not to get distracted because you know that is so not good, right? Ignore other people complains and turn your focus on how to handle your acne problem and sometimes, it’s better to forget about the acne problem you are facing and let go the stress in you. You’ll notice a big change after.

5. Be Happy For Yourself

Why not? We know it’s hard to accept the flaws in you. But who else will, right? When you start to accepting yourself, you will free from the burden of needing others to accept you for who you are. Stop comparing yourself with other people and be proud of who you are. They’ll never know what you have been through. People won’t stop judging and if you live in people’s acceptance, you’ll die from their rejections. So, stop hating yourself and start being happy for who you already are. We are like snowflakes, all different in our own beautiful way. Believe me, you are beautiful and nobody can tell you otherwise.
