About a time

I have been playing with the idea of writing some on my thoughts to the public space for a long time. I somehow feel that I finally accumulated some sort of knowledge and experience that is worth sharing (while not feeling ashamed in the same time).

The best description of my motivation is very similar to the beginning of Rimmer’s diary from Red Dwarf:

I have decided to keep a journal of my thoughts and deeds over the coming year. A daily chart of my progress through the echelons of command, so that perhaps one day, other aspiring officers may seek enlightenment through these pages.

Actually reading my posts is not going to help anyone with the career of officer in the mining spaceship of Jupier Mining Corporation. Right now I work in GMC Software as a team leader but I also do a lot of mentoring and sofware architecture stuff for the company as a whole. So it is not suprising that I’m going to write about IT trends, workshop experience and similar stuff. If topic allows it, I will try to be as brief as possbile because I believe that people prefer when information is straight and clear.

P.S.: Some time, you will be wondering: “Why is this guy writing as Yoda?” The answer is simple: I’m not a native English speaker (I’m from Czech Republic).
