Zebec’s first user interface for governance

Welcome to Zebec Governance through $ZBC!

Zebec Governance is a platform where ZBC token holders can participate in governance and vote on budgets, policies, and future projects and features. Users can take three basic actions on the platform: making proposals, voting and staking.

Read below for a quick overview and tutorial:

Getting Involved in Zebec Governance through the ZBC Token

To get started, you’ll need to log in with an EVM wallet, like MetaMask, so we can verify you are a ZBC token holder. The process is automatic; you need to sign a free transaction in your wallet.

Note: If you’re new to using EVM apps, you’ll need a wallet like MetaMask to interact and vote on proposals. Don’t worry, there are plenty of tutorials available on YouTube to help you get started.

On the Zebec governance platform, you can review and vote on proposals. Each proposal includes a title, description and important details. Simply select a proposal to learn more about it and vote for or against it. To pass, any proposal must reach a quorum of 234,346,593 $ZBC, which is 33% of circulation.

Vote Staking

Vote Staking is a new feature in Zebec, but it’s pretty simple. It’s used to prioritize proposals in the community by ranking the most important ones.

Here’s how it works: Anyone with a Zebec Chain address and ZBC tokens can place a voting stake (prediction) on a proposal. The stake is the amount of tokens they’re willing to bet on the proposal passing or failing. If your prediction is correct, you’ll get their stake back, plus a reward from the stakes of others who predicted incorrectly. If the proposal doesn’t pass or fail, all stakes are returned.

Not only is vote staking profitable for the staker, but it also helps the DAO prioritize important proposals. The proposals with the highest ratio of ZBC staked on passing to ZBC staked on failing are boosted, making it easier for the Foundation to focus on those proposals. Even a high ratio of ZBC staked on failing vs succeeding signals to the Zebec team, which proposals are more top-of-mind for the community and need to be immediately addressed.

This system supports the ZBC Predictors Network, a group of predictors that provide valuable proposal sorting services. If you’re interested, give it a try! Instructions are below.

Click “add vote” to join the proposal.

Choose the staking amount you want.

The page will show how many tokens you are staking. Withdraw at any time by clicking the “unstake” button.

Conclusion

There you go! You now know the basics of voting on Zebec’s governance platform.

The platform will get community members involved in the future of Zebec Protocol and what projects it takes on. It gives the ZBC token more utility and value. Also, the innovation of vote staking provides a decentralized way for the community to rank and prioritize proposals so the core team can focus on what is important.
