Zebec Improvement Proposal 2 (ZIP-2)
ZIP-2: Operation Horizon Upgrade
Summary
This proposal formalizes Zepoch Node NFT and Themis Gavel NFT mechanics, defining the parameters for how they are purchased, the rights bestowed, and the conferred to holders. It also proposes ZBC token mining rewards for ZBC-USDT LP tokens.
Abstract
Zepoch Node NFTs have been a part of Operation Horizon, Zebec’s campaign to launch the Zebec Chain. In order to launch the Zebec Chain, the community voted to create a staging chain called Nautilus Chain. Nautilus Chain is a community-led staging blockchain that will help developers onboard projects and develop the Zebec Ecosystem. This will ensure a smooth mainnet launch for Zebec Chain and its novel, modular design.
Community members who want to be part of Nautilus Chain and the Zebec Chain can purchase Zepoch Node NFTs. By holding a Zepoch Node NFT, you will be eligible for many rewards, including the distribution of 50% of the gas fees generated by Nautilus when it goes live. Holders will also receive exclusive airdrops from ecosystem partners that onboard onto the Nautilus Chain. Zebec Protocol will also distribute 20% of its profits amongst Zepoch Node NFT holders after the launch of Zebec Chain in 2024.
Themis Gavel NFTs will also be used in governance. Holders of Themis Gavel NFTs will receive increased voting power and boosted Zebec Points.
Zebec Protocol will also be launching a ZBC-USDT LP mining pool that will earn ZBC holders around 30–50% APY in $ZBC tokens. The LP mining pool may undergo changes and upgrades as the Zebec Chain continues to develop.
Rationale
The motivation behind this proposal is:
- To give the community a chance to provide feedback and vote on Zepoch Node and Themis Gavel NFT utilities.
- Incentivize validators on the Nautilus Chain by offering Zepoch Node NFT rewards
Specifications
New Horizon Parameters
–This new version of the terms of use supersedes all previous versions. All user activity and behavior shall be governed by the rules and guidelines outlined in this updated agreement.
Zepoch Node NFTs can be purchased with the following:
- USDT
- BUSD
The supply of Zepoch Node NFTs will be limited to 30,000. The price of Zepoch Node NFTs will increase by 0.5% for every 50 units sold.
Zepoch Node NFT Rewards
Zepoch Node NFT holders will receive 50% of the gas fees generated by the Nautilus Chain. In addition to these, ecosystem partners that onboard on Nautilus Chain will create special airdrop pools for Zepoch Node NFT holders.
Zepoch Node NFT holders who refer someone to purchase a Zepoch Node NFT will receive a 5% commission based on the NFT’s price.
Themis Gavel NFTs
Themis Gavel NFTs will be used for governance in the Zebec Protocol and Nautilus Chain. The holder’s votes will carry 1.5X more weight compared to other votes. Themis Gavel NFT holders will also receive extra Zebec Points when they vote.
Zebec Points boost the value of rewards Zepoch Node NFT holders can earn; more points, more rewards. All $ZBC holders will earn Zebec Points when they vote on ZIPs in the Zebec DAO. Zebec Points will be equal to 1% of the $ZBC tokens used for voting. For example: if someone stakes 100 $ZBC on a vote, they will earn 1 Zebec Point.
However, Themis Gavel NFT holders will earn 3X the points for the same amount of tokens used in a vote. For instance, in the example above, they would earn 3 points instead of 1.
The value of the Zebec Points will increase as the Nautilus Chain grows. More details coming soon.
