In shadows deep, where spirits roam,
Our nightly guests, who’ve found a home.
Dear ghosts, with antics, you amuse,
Yet in our slumber, you confuse.
Through decades long, we’ve shared this space,
A spectral bond, a haunting grace.
But when the moon ascends on high,
Grant us respite, let slumber nigh.
No need for tricks, or eerie jests,
As midnight’s curtain softly rests.
Instead, bring tales of bygone days,
Over coffee’s warmth, in spectral gaze.
In moonlit whispers, secrets share,
Of worlds beyond this earthly lair.
No need for fright or midnight play,
Let sleep embrace ’til break of day.
For chores mundane, a ghostly hand,
Could sweep and tidy, understand?
Pay rent in whispers, utilities too,
A spectral pact, a bond anew.
In waking hours, converse away,
We welcome company, light of day.
But as the stars their vigil keep,
Let dreams unfold, in peaceful sleep.
Dear ghosts, our nocturnal friends,
Let night be still, where darkness blends.
With gratitude, this plea we send,
Let sleep descend, our minds to mend.
In the nighttime, as the moon shines on our home, these words tell a story of being friends with invisible spirits. In the dark where ghosts play, we’ve shared our space for many years. The lines that follow kindly ask our nighttime friends to be a bit quieter when we want to sleep, making a funny deal between their playful tricks and the calm we need at night.
