Joining the weary ranks of corporate America never appeared on my radar. My work history is chock-full of accolades, promotions, and recognition of my strong work ethic. I am confident in my ladder-climbing skills regardless — glass ceiling be damned.
I took a different route to the top, though.

Reclined and swiveling in its overstuffed warmth, I surveyed my journey and direction. My vision emerged once I shifted gears and stepped away from ill-begotten past decisions.
