I never grew up dreaming of being writer, but I had always dreamed of writing a book.

At eighteen, I had dropped out of college, and in the months that it took me to find a job, I started blogging. My love for writing exploded immediately.

I had barely dipped my toes into the water when I found the opportunity to write a book. I jumped right in.

I knew exactly what I wanted my book to be about… My entire life with anxiety. I was in the very small percentage of people that picked one title and stuck with it from beginning to end.

I wanted it to be light-hearted. I wanted it to make people smile and possibly even laugh. However, I was writing about the heaviest parts of my life. It was a challenge I was willing to go after.

That’s how “Party Pooper: Growing up with Anxiety” came about.

It was an overall smooth process, but my great writing team deserves most of the credit for that.
