Welcome to Zenith, our in development VR MMO!
Hi, I’m Andy and today I’d like to tell you about a next generation VR MMO title that Lauren, Will and I have been working on and also share some artwork with you.
Zenith is a VR MMORPG that was inspired by JRPGs and our favorite animes. It’s set in a futuristic fantasy world where both magic and technology have important roles to play. There are many amazing experiences out there in VR today, but I think one of the main things that makes Zenith different is the art style.
Exploring Zenith in VR will be unlike anything else out there. We wanted the areas outside of the city hubs to have a post-post apocalyptic feel — as if there was terrible devastation, but nature took over and healed the world.
In addition, we’re using next generation server technology that makes it possible to have a huge open world with thousands of concurrent users where your actions permanently impact the world. We expect we’ll eventually support all major high end VR headsets.
By the way, the art you see here isn’t just a pretty drawing, our artist Will, actually started out by sculpting it in the VR sculpting tool, Medium, before drawing over it in Photoshop. However, please note that this is still in development and the final work is likely to change. We’re excited to hear what you think so be sure to let us know!
