Announcement on Zenlink 2nd batch of Explorer NFT releases
On June 4, Zenlink held a lottery for the second batch of Explorer NFTs at SakeSwap. After the lottery began, some community members questioned the rules and fairness of the NFTs and sparked controversy. The Zenlink team has followed up on the feedback from the community members and communicated with the SakeSwap team to verify the incident.
After communication between the Zenlink team and the SakeSwap team, it has been determined that the NFT lottery logic is indeed different from the way community members understand random lotteries. In the previous NFT lottery, the SakeSwap developers used a random function under the chain to generate results in advance and then let whitelisted users draw the lottery.
According to the SakeSwap developer, the problem was caused by a misunderstanding between the Zenlink team and the SakeSwap developer, who implemented a one-time random selection of the final winning results before the NFT distribution, instead of a random selection triggered by the user.
It should be noted, however, that although the SakeSwap developers drew the winners in advance, the results were generated by a random function and there was no subjective interference, so there was no impact on the fairness of the results.
In addition, the community members’ feedback that non-whitelisted addresses can participate in the lottery has been verified by the Zenlink team that the winning list generated by the SakeSwap front-end is randomly generated from the whitelist list, and non-whitelisted users can participate in the lottery but are unlikely to win. This is a bug in the product interaction, and the Zenlink team has already communicated with SakeSwap developers to fix the issue.
The above is a description of the main controversial points of the NFT lottery. Therefore, in the spirit of respecting the community’s opinion and optimizing and improving the product, the Zenlink team and SakeSwap team have decided to acknowledge the validity of the previous lottery results and add 40 additional Explorer NFTs for the remaining whitelisted addresses that did not win.
Prior to that, we have fulfilled our promise of minting the NFTs of the last batch of 80 winners to their corresponding wallet addresses, which can be checked at https://app-bsc.sakeswap.finance/#/nft. Recently, the Zenlink team has been working with SakeSwap developers to optimize and improve the product and has completed the testing. As a result, the new batch of 40 Explorer NFTs will be raffled off as follows.

FAQ
Q: Why did Zenlink choose a third-party platform to distribute NFT and distribute it on BSC?
A: Zenlink team focuses on building Polkadot-based cross-chain DEX, so they choose to cooperate with Sakeswap and Bondly to complete the Zenlink NFT distribution. On the one hand, the BSC-based NFT issuance is based on the fact that the Polkadot parachains are not yet online, so it is temporarily impossible to issue NFT assets; on the other hand, the choice of BSC for issuance is also based on the consideration that Ethereum Gas fees are too high in order to reduce the burden of community users.
Q: Why were there only 80 instead of 200 NFTs in the previous lottery?
A: As previously disclosed by the Zenlink team, the total number of Zenlink NFTs is 1000, and the Genesis release is 360. Therefore, not all of the 360 NFTs will be released in the first public test of Zenlink.
In addition, it should be noted that Zenlink’s purpose of releasing NFT is not to release NFT for the sake of releasing NFT, but has more thoughts in it, Zenlink will do some interesting and valuable exploration and practice around NFT and DAO.
Finally, the total number of Zenlink NFTs is 1,000 and based on the current situation, we will have issued a total of 227 (100+80+40) NFTs after this release, so there will be many more opportunities for community members to get NFTs, so stay tuned!
