Today, I’ll introduce Civilization and World History from Zenport Book Club#100 on Apr28th 2018.
Introduction
Jun Shimoda explains how homo sapiens has evolved and made civilization. In order to explain the civilization history, he focuses on the two type of eurasians and religion.
How we have been building civilization and where are we going?
Let’s get it started.
Summary
- After dispersal throughout Africa, homo sapiens have gone to two direction. One is east side, and the other is north west side, the Europe now. The former ones are called eastern eurasian and the latter ones are called western eurasian. The former one becomes caucasoid, cuz of lack of sun light.
- The human being has scattered all over the earth, and formed ethics groups and made a core civilizations, in Middle East, China, India, West Africa and South America.
- Also, the racial migration has accelerated the communication between civilizations. It helps each civilizations had grown up.
- Before modern civilization, the core essence of civilization is religion.
Advanced religion were made by on Jewish, Arab, Indian and Chinese.
The civilization with advanced religion avoided a major change against world domination by Europe of the 19th century. - In modern times, Europe became a core civilization because of Feudalism, capitalism and Industrial Revolution.
Discussion
- It should be true that Arab, India and China have lead the world for a long time. In modern times, only the prosperity of Western Europe is praised, but from the perspective of human history, those countries has meaning too. We should not think that it is unchanged now and always need to grasp the flow of the whole story.
Conclusion
Today, I’ve introduced Civilization and World History, that explained the his tory of civilizations.
