The Design Concept of new Zenport Corporate Site

Corporate site is a digital front-desk of a company. People can get to know the company’s product, value, style, workers, contact information, etc on the corporate site. It always essential to check company website before buying its product. For me, design corporate site is a way to integrate company information and to make company’s identity distinctive from others. It is a channel and a window for a company to connect with outside sources. It is branding.

“a Communicable Interface is the Priority”

When first saw the previous version of Zenport corporate site, the fragmentations and rigidness of the design shocked me. The design is like dead and cold-blooded. There is no interaction between website and users.

As an interface, it should be communicable and more human. When We redesigning Zenport corporate site, the priority concept we kept in mind is the “online client service”. What is “online client service”? Since the corporate site is the channel between company and client, partners. It plays an important role in navigating clients, partners ,and even first-time visitors. The “online client service” a corporate site offers is to make is easy, smooth, logical for visitors to get the information they want from the corporate site. It should be easy for them to find company contact information, product information, inquiry form, career information, terms of usage, or even where to change language settings. Generally, we designed Zenport corporate site as a facilitator of visitors to get the information easily. The goal is to make a design that you know it when you see it.

“Visual Effect Matters”

Secondly, the visual effect on website matters. Color, images, types influence whether visitors enjoy the corporate site. A more human, moderate and readable design make readers happy and increase their willingness to dive more in the website. In Zenport website, we choose green and blue as our main colors. These two colors are used throughout the website. The font we used is Roboto, which is the same with the font of our “Zenport” title. Roboto is an elegant and modern font, which is easily recognizable. As for images, on the landing page, we use images which can best express our product characteristics. The proper use of images can help readers understand the characteristics of the product quickly and precisely. In this way, the time cost of reading tons of paragraphs is reduced by the display of cartoon-style images. In fact, the proper use of images does not only alleviate the reading load for readers, but also make readers more relaxed, and shorten the distance between company and readers.

“Consistency and Alignment make design stronger”

The uniformed margins, guilds, font, components, and pattern are used in both web and mobile versions. We make a guideline of color choices, font, icons, bars for both designer and developers. Guidelines enhance the quality and consistency of the design. In this way, readers and users can easily switch from mobile to web without taking a lot of time adjusting to another set of design, and designers can work more efficiently by following the same guideline. With this guideline, we can design much other related products and keep our visual identity aligned in the public.
