When it comes to celebrities, general facial features could be altered or retouched to look flawless on the red carpet. When it comes to their teeth, it’s no exception. That’s why it seems that when celebrities have their natural features — in this case, teeth — which of course won’t be perfect, people simply lose their minds. That’s what happened a few years ago with Nick Jonas.

The rumors about Nick Jonas teeth

People love to create all kinds of conspiracy theories about celebrities, even about the most unusual things and Nick Jonas’ teeth is one of them. For some time now, we’ve seen articles, memes and all kinds of posts around the internet implying that Nick Jonas has three frontal teeth.

This theory would say that the singer suffers from a very rare feature which is an extra tooth (his dentist, DR. Jennifer Bone says it only happens in 2% of the adult teeth) and what is even stranger, right in front. Rumors swirled when pictures surfaced where the Jonas brother appeared to have two regular and symmetrical frontal teeth were accompanied by a third exact tooth.

What Jonas and his dentist have to say about it

When Jonas was initially questioned about it by PEOPLE magazine, he quickly replied that he didn’t have the third frontal tooth and that he found out it pretty absurd that people would pick something out like that. Even more than that, he remitted the rumors to his dentist Dr. Bone who supported his perspective.

Dr. Bone confirmed that Nick just has a malformed lateral incisor that is larger than the norm and creates an optical illusion of a third frontal tooth, thanks to that lateral incisor being placed a bit forward AND the lateral incisor on the other side is slightly smaller. All these features together explain why in some pictures or angles Nick Jonas seems to have an extra front tooth.

So finally, the conspiracy theory is now dismantled as professional evidence proves that NO, Nick Jonas doesn’t have a third frontal tooth.
