Since the COVID-19 pandemic entered the exponential growth period in many countries, the outbreak has spelled the start of a season of distance learning for millions of students around the world. Read our coverage here.

To help students transition, lots of education-related services offer resources and services free-of-charge. We compiled a list here.

Note: Always be vigilant of online scam! Be sure to check any company that you plan to sign up services at, and beware what details you are offering to any websites.

Magoosh Test Prep: Free Premium Access

The team at Magoosh that offer test preparation services for exams from ACT to LSAT has extended everyone’s access to premium accounts free of charge until May 31. Hurray for 1,300 custom designed test questions with complete answer key and explanation for each!

Khan Academy: Free videos and resources for educators

The ever-amazing Khan Academy is here to help everyone to learn and to be college-ready. They have resources to keep everyone learning. Yes, that includes students in grade/primary school, high school seniors, or a juniors in university, their teachers, their parents — everybody! Check their COVID-19 resource page here.

Audible: Free kids audiobooks

Millions of people are stranded at home with their kids during this pandemic. Audible, the audiobook company, has made hundreds of audiobooks free for kids and the young-at-hearts, to listen to as the pandemic rages on. All available titles can be accessed via desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet at stories.audible.com.

Varsity Tutors: Free virtual schooling materials

Team at Varsity Tutor has introduced virtual school days to help K12 students stay in school. Simply select your grade and get access to level-specific course materials to get through learning while staying at home. Get that little sibling of yours back to studying!

Ecree: Free online writing edit access

Cracking your head to get that essay done, nicely, on time? Due to COVID-19 school closings and the increased need for online learning tools, Ecree is offering all students free access to AI-powered interactive writing assistant software until May 31, 2020. Visit Ecree here.

U-Haul: Free storage for a month

In view of students being required to move out of residences, the moving wizards U-Haul has stepped forward to offer free 1-month storage for students in United States and Canada impacted by COVID-19. Go grab ’em!

Scolly: $200 relief funds

Scolly is offering relief funds of $200 for students whose plans or livelihood are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Check the company and the application details here.

Ascend Goals: Cash prize for completed challenges

Ascend Goals, a company that helps students’ academic learning, has a weekly prize for those who choose to stay at home and complete challenges, gather points, and earn up to $500 for each 10,000 points.
