Beond Group, initiators of Zero Carbon Project, are on a mission to help West London — the UK’s 2nd largest business district, become the greenest economy in the UK. As winners of Finance Business of The Year 2019 at the West London Business Awards and highly commended Green Business of the year, Beond are working hard to achieve this goal.

The latest business to offset their carbon emissions is Chiswick based design, print and on-line solution specialist Kall Kwik. Kall Kwik are proud members of The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and promote procurement activities that reduce environmental impact. Kall Kwik utilised Beond’s online auction service to find the cheapest energy supply contract on the market, but as the most competitive offer was from non-renewable energy sources, Beond then purchased the required amount of carbon credits on their behalf, offsetting the emissions associated to the energy. This gave Kall Kwik the cheapest, cleanest energy contract on the market.

Managing Director of Kall Kwik, Terry Woods says; “Many paper suppliers will tell you, often in good faith, that their supplies are from ‘sustainable’ sources. But without an independent certification system, there is often no way of verifying this or of demonstrating to your clients that you have met their expectations. The FSC helps us to demonstrate we know where our paper comes from and that we are not part of the problem. We all strive to reduce our carbon emissions and with Beond’s help we feel we are able to further demonstrate we are making a contribution for the good of the planet”.

Beond vision “support clients ambitions and a carbon free world”

Beond founder Derek Myers says; “We believe in operating with integrity, driving innovation and quality service delivery. Part of Beond’s vision is to help create a carbon free world. Beond is at its own cost, purchasing carbon credits on our clients behalf to help raise awareness of climate change, which in turn provides funding for carbon emission reduction projects in emerging countries”.

Beond has fully committed to their vision. When they are reviewing a business’s energy costs, if the most competitive electricity supply contract offer is not from a 100% green source of supply, Beond will offset the carbon emissions at their own cost.

Derek continues; “We are able to connect members to carbon reduction projects around the world that have been validated by the United Nations’ organization, UNFCCC, or the Gold Standard. Purchasing carbon credits through our exchange delivers finance directly to project developers and helps industrialized countries to contribute towards their emission reduction targets under the Kyoto Protocol”.
