Zero Carbon Project Rewards Report as at 31st August 2020
Zero Carbon Project has been actively switching consumers to zero carbon energy and rewarding them for their contribution to tackling climate change. Rewards have also been earned by Introducers and Custodians for their contribution to spreading the message; and running markets and communities.
This Rewards Report provides a regular update on the amount of rewards that have been distributed to our climate action community members. It also provides an update on how we are progressing towards our reward goals and milestones.
Rewards earned by Zero Carbon Community
Since the Zero Carbon Project opened for business on October 2018 our Zero Carbon Community have contracted 563,328 ZCC rewards. These rewards have been earned as follows:
Energy consumer rewards:
- 1,920 ZCC for registration and first transaction
- 2,679 ZCC consumption rewards for 56 household consumer switches
- 115,466 ZCC consumption rewards for 6 business consumers
- 85 ZCC consumption rewards for 5 offset purchases
- 25,249 ZCC referral rewards for consumers
Introducers and Custodians rewards:
- 132,722 ZCC referral rewards for Introducers for spreading the message
- 284,940 ZCC staked referral rewards for Introducers for spreading the message
- 0 ZCC rewards for Custodians running zero carbon markets and communities
- 268 ZCC staked rewards for Custodians running zero carbon markets and communities
Contracted rewards of 563,328 ZCCs are based on the contracted energy supply which typically runs for 12 or 24 months but can be up to 5 years. Of the total contracted rewards 97,423 have been earned based on the energy consumed to date.
These ZCC rewards have accumulated and are being stored in the Zero Carbon Consumer Portal System. Community members have withdrawn 29,004 ZCCs to their blockchain wallets.
