Democratic Governors Ready to Battle Donald Trump
Blue state governors planning for Trump presidency
Democrat governors are already gearing up for a showdown with a new and possibly more diabolical Donald Trump presidency.
Trump has made no secret about several large scale attacks on various groups. The most notable one is his plan to deport millions of people.
But Democratic Governors are not taking this lying down.
They have been announcing for the past week that they plan on combating any action taken against their citizens for a variety of reasons.
Donlad Trump has made overt threats to come after a number of vulnerable groups should he take power again.
This includes undocumented immigrants (and possibly birthright citizens and naturalized U.S. citizens) , trans people and other members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as women seeking abortions and other female reproductive healthcare.
California Governor Gavin Newsome called a special legislative session in order to give the attorney general’s office more funding. He is also seeking to “Trump-proof” State laws.
