2k17 Champion Detoxys stopped by 2KTV to talk Center builds, Still Trill, and more. The key info’s below.

Detoxys’ Build: Glass Cleaner, 7'1", 295 pounds, “which is the lowest possible weight I can get for max strength.”

Why Detoxys plays Glass Cleaner: “Best rebounding. I can still shoot from the corner, which allows me to be more versatile when it comes to different types of offenses, and obviously the brick wall this year is pretty OP.”

On contesting vs. shot blocking: “I play it depending on the archetype that’s coming at me. Say it’s a Slasher — I’m probably gonna be more apt to jump at him. But if someone gets the ball and just holds it right in front of me, I’m just gonna hold my hands up so I can contest when they shoot it.”

On outlet passing: “The second I get the rebound, it’s right to the point guard every time. He’s always mid-court, half-court area, so he can make decisions quickly.”

On creating a center: “You’re gonna want all your badges and all your attributes to be at the same level as the top centers. You gotta be prepared to move, which is why I made my 7'1”. Making him less tall with less weight allowed me to have more speed, more vertical for pick & roll situations.”
