Happy new year from the zeroheight team!

2019 was definitely our best year yet and we can’t wait to see where 2020 takes us ✈️ This month we look back at what we did last year and share what’s in store for 2020…

We also want to use this reflective time of the year to say how grateful we are to the zeroheight community. Our users are makers and product builders and we can tell because they’re always happy to provide feedback and help us improve zeroheight. Thank you 🙏

2019 company highlights

  • 💰 zeroheight became profitable
  • ☀️ we took part in Y Combinator
  • 📈 we received investments from Adobe and Funders Club
  • 🏢 we launched an Enterprise plan
  • 🌱 we moved into a quirky new office in London
  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 we started hiring

And last but not least… we got mentioned in the Adobe Max keynote! 🙈

2019 product highlights

  • integrating with Figma
  • styleguide customization features (custom fonts, colors, an improved cover page…)
  • more navigation options (navigation tabs, page tabs, shortcut tiles)
  • integrating with Adobe XD
  • a showcase of design systems built by zeroheight users (if you’d like to add yours, just reply and let us know!)

2020 roadmap

Editor improvements

We have many improvements in the pipeline to let users display content exactly how they want (column layouts, better tables, more text formatting…)

Collaboration

We have lots of features planned to help users manage their design system as a team such as the ability to comment, tag components, track changes etc.

Design tokens

Tokens are the key to efficient design-development collaboration in the era of design systems. We plan to take zeroheight tokens to the next level by supporting custom token types and building a flexible API around them.

Code synchronization

We have some exciting plans to allow developers to update code snippets in zeroheight dynamically using an API

More partner integrations

We plan to build new integrations this year as we believe design & development tools work best when they work together

Hope you’re as excited as we are! If there’s something you want to see in zeroheight which doesn’t fit in the above, please let us know in the comments below or by joining our new community forum :)

We hope this year brings you all the things you’ve wished for, not least of which is well-documented design system components.

To 2020! 🍻

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 PS: we’re hiring

We’re growing the zeroheight family and looking for the following:
