Today we’re delighted to introduce a brand new pricing plan for large teams, with enhanced security and advanced features:

Visit pricing page for details

This new plan is all about helping bigger organizations to:

  • distribute their design system in a controlled and systematic way with password-protection and styleguide versioning
  • give their styleguides a truly branded feel with custom domain URLs
  • track design system adoption using styleguide analytics

Read on to find out more about the new features, or start a free trial to see it all in action!

Password-protection

The links for sharing zeroheight styleguides are considered private until shared due to the fact that they use secure tokens. Nonetheless, if a team member accidentally shares a link with an unauthorized 3rd party, they can immediately access it. Password-protection prevents this by requiring all viewers to enter a password in order to view styleguides.

Styleguide versioning

The styleguide versioning feature has two main benefits:

  1. Editors can now contribute work-in-progress to the draft version of their styleguide and publish changes to a new version when ready
  2. Teams can create multiple versions of their styleguide and share the relevant versions with different parties

For example, teams can now:

  • Publish version 1.0 and share it with stakeholders/clients
  • Start work on a draft of the next version and share an internal preview link to it with designers and developers
  • The link used to share the styleguide always navigates to the “published” version of the styleguide, so when version 1.1 is ready, they can publish it and stakeholders automatically get the latest changes

Note: multiple versions can be previewed at the same time using preview links available from the Versions window, but currently there can only be one “published” version of the styleguide (the version that people automatically see when they load the official styleguide sharing link)

Custom domain

For organizations who want to add credibility to their design system, it’s important to give it a branded look and feel. Custom domains help do just that by allowing companies to use their own domain for their styleguide instead of zeroheight’s

Styleguide analytics

Design systems are for people :) In order to know where you need to focus your design system documentation efforts, it’s important to know how your documentation is being used. The Google Analytics integration feature enables this by allowing teams to see how their viewers interact with styleguides.

Admin roles

We’ve introduced basic roles to give core design system teams greater control and governance over their documentation:

  • Admin: can remove editors and edit team/billing details
  • Editors: can invite editors and edit styleguides

This is just the first step for role management — we’ll be adding more sophisticated permission management functionality later on.

That’s all for now, but there’s more to come! We’re hard at work on lots of highly requested features and improvements, and we can’t wait to share them with you. In the meantime, check out the new Company plan using the free trial, and let us know what you think!
