Clearing Up Confusion

For some reason, there appears to be a lot of confusion about how to get your article published in the Zerone publication.

Anyone interested in entering the competition must follow the publication ‘The Zerone,’ which can be found at the following link: https://medium.com/zerone-magazine

Only after liking the magazine will the publication appear when you click the ‘Add to Publication’ option when publishing your article.

Fill out the Google Form for registration (link omitted here since it differs from year to year) so that we can include your Medium handle in the publication.

You will not be able to add to The Zerone publication until your medium handle has been added to the list of writers. It might take us sometime to go through your form response so please be patient (if the option to add to our publication doesn’t appear within 1–2 days, mail us at ioezerone@gmail.com). Please do not include links to your Instagram or Facebook pages.

Write your article on your personal Medium profile.

You will see a menu with the option ‘Add to publication’ at the time of publication.

Select ‘The Zerone’ from the list of options.

After you click select and continue, you will be prompted to review and submit your draft.

Add the tags ‘Blogging Competition’ and ‘Category Name,’ as well as any three additional tags of your choosing.

Your article will now be submitted to the magazine as a draft.

After the validity of your submission has been verified, your article will be published.

You can find out if your article was published by going to The Zerone publication and clicking the competition tab.

If your article isn’t there, it means you skipped a step and it was unable to be published.

After your article has been published in the Zerone publication, you should see The Zerone on the left side of the article after you open it up.

And lastly, you should also see ‘your name in The Zerone’ to indicate it has been published in The Zerone publication.
