Congratulations to the winners of The Zerone article writing competition
Jan 19th to 27th. Nearly a week of coffee spills, hair-pulling and fervent drafting led to a flurry of captivating and dazzling articles. Now, finally, we are ready to announce three articles that stood above the rest. The winners were chosen on the basis of article statistics, overall content quality and most of all, how well they fit with their respective categories.
Alas, there can only be one winner for each category. We were pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic participation we received this year. As such, we have decided that everyone who submitted an article to the competition earns a physical copy of The Zerone. (If you had participated, please get in touch with the team at LOCUS, which starts on Feb 7th)
Some highlights from our winners:
It rains so much here, and with such vengeance, that what was once the romance of the rainfall now feels like everyday nuisance.
— A Drizzle in Pokhara
That didn’t work, of course, but that day, I realised how stupid I could be.
The next day, I googled ‘How to not be stupid’.
— MAMA GOOGLE
@Reshuach01’ drilled her face into the pillow. So close, I was so close to getting a million subscribers on YouTube.
— The Day without Freedom
The winners will be awarded prizes that add up to rupees 10k in total at the LOCUS closing ceremony.
We would like to thank our article competition sponsors, Naipala for their continued support.
Naipala is a Nepali lifestyle brand based in Sydney, providing a platform to Nepalese brands in the international market.
And everyone, don’t forget to visit LOCUS national technological exhibition, where The Zerone will have a prominent stall. You can acquire a physical copy of the magazine there.
