Dear home

There is a constant flow of warmth within my home, where emotions sculpt semicircular curves on my face, often coaxing tears to roll down my cheeks. The ethereal warmth of my mother’s hand, the sage guidance bestowed by my father in every facet of my life, and the delightful skirmishes with my brother collectively define what home means to me. My family, with their unwavering support and love, is my sanctuary.

As I sit down to pen my thoughts about home, the task feels weightless, especially in this chilly winter, when the essence of familial bonds becomes even more pronounced. Life, I’ve come to realize, is a tapestry of memories, and throughout the years, I’ve been weaving it alongside the best people on this planet — my family. Those Saturday nights spent engrossed in television sessions and engaging in heartfelt conversations about life remain etched in my mind.

My family has been a constant pillar, offering support in times of abundance and scarcity alike. I fondly recall the bustling energy and excitement in everyone’s eyes while preparing momos, a culinary labor of love that demanded five hours of hard work but resulted in shared joy around the dinner table. There isn’t a Saturday night that passes without yearning for a glimpse of those moments.

Whether it’s the collective concern etched on everyone’s face during illnesses or the sheer elation experienced during life’s happiest moments, my family has witnessed it all. They have not only been my companions but have also equipped me to face every scenario life presents. From the tentative first steps of my journey to the most pivotal decisions I’ve had to make, my family has been there, offering unwavering support.

Now, as distance separates us physically, the longing for their presence is poignant. Yet, I find solace in the eternal memories securely stored within my heart — each memory a testament to the strength and resilience instilled in me by my family. My home, my haven, is not just a physical space; it is the wellspring of inspiration propelling me forward in life.
