Those Sacred
White Mountains
Slightly contrasting
With real ones
Black stones
On the peak
That
Your sisters
Whispered about
And
Your mother fed you with
When you were young
Still wanting
You to be
Unaware about
When you knew
How they worked
And you
Sucked life
From other’s
Sisters
Or ‘to-be’
Mothers
When
With each look
She screamed
The stories
She wanted
You to hear
About those mountains
She wanted to climb
And you did
Pay attention
But
To the stories
Of the mountains
She carried
And I wonder
How did you not know?
About the mountains
She dreamed
Achieving feat over
Enfolded safely
Just below
The mountains
Your hands
Just climbed?
