The Zerone 2020 Presents Online Article Writing Competition [Deadline Extended]
Continuing with our proud tradition here at the Zerone Magazine, the Zerone Team 2020 is organizing the annual Online Article Writing Competition. The details about the competition are as follows:
Participation Details
In order to participate in the competition, you need to fill up this simple form:

Once you’ve filled up the form, you will be added as one of the writers to our Medium page and you will be able to publish your article on it. Only one submission is allowed per person and if you submit multiple articles, only your final submission will be taken into consideration once the competition ends.
There are no restrictions as to who can participate in the competition.
Publishing Procedure
- Follow the publication ‘zerone magazine’ : https://medium.com/zerone-magazine
- Fill this google form: https://forms.gle/DbSdkMGhYQWA4cnh7
- Write your article and publish it in your own medium profile. Add the tags: ‘Blogging Competition’, ‘category_name’ plus any three tags of your choice.
- Scroll to the bottom of your article and you will see the menu. In the menu there is an option ‘Add to publication’.
5. Choose ‘zerone-magazine’ from the options. Now your article will be submitted as a draft to the zerone-magazine blog.
6. After checking the validity of your submission, your article will be published.
About the Categories
We have included three major categories/themes for the competition, namely:
- Utopian Future
We agree that there is much to whine and complain about in the society we live in today and the future does not seem any brighter either. But we refuse to believe that there is nothing positive to look forward to in the future. So, write about all the positive things you think would happen in the future, under this category. It could be a story, an essay, a poem or anything else.
- (Un-)social Media
Over the years, social media has come to be one of the most vital elements of our lives. It has changed the way we interact with people, the way we consume information, the way we treat each other and the way we form opinions. But like everything else, it has its own downsides. Under this category, write about the negative impacts Social Media has on our lives. It could be a story, an essay, rants, a poem or anything else.
- Slice of Life
Under this category, you have the liberty to write about any aspect or event of your life, fact or fiction.
