On those occasions when it is not possible to recite the full long life prayer, or when you are accumulating a number of prayers, recite as follows:
Detentor do segredo, de vidya (visão) e de mantras dharani,
Holder of secret, vidyā, and dhāraṇī mantras,
Thubten Nyima, encarnação do ‘mestre de manto branco’*,
Thubten Nyima, incarnation of ‘the master in the white shawl’*,
Filho dos ensinamentos do Buda, com seus milhares de raios brilhantes,
Sun of the Buddha’s Teaching, with your thousands of brilliant rays,
Continue sempre nascendo no céu das nossas mentes, que tem os três tipos de fé,
Always keep rising in the sky of our minds, that have the three kinds of faith,

Inspiring us to care for suffering beings everywhere with compassion,

And to make offerings to the Three Jewels in devotion,
