Pascal, hi! Could you please tell our readers more about yourself and your career path?
I’m a marketer and speculator at heart, which is probably the reason why I initially stumbled across the cryptocurrency space.
After spending weeks looking for a way to earn cryptocurrency, without success, I decided to build a platform that would make it easy for anyone to do so. With the help of my two co-founders, this platform is now Bounty0x.
Of all the blockchain-related projects that you have been working on, which ones do you consider the most important?
I consider crypto content platforms, like TheBlock, CoinDiligent, and CoinDesk, to be incredibly important for the cryptocurrency space as they help provide a much more accurate insight than legacy finance publications, like CNBC or Bloomberg.
Ok, let’s cut to the chase — tell us about Bounty0x. For those of our readers unfamiliar with it, could you give a brief overview of the project?
Bounty0x makes earning crypto simple and we see the platform creating value on two main fronts.
First of all, we believe that for cryptocurrency adoption to thrive, people need to be able to work in exchange for it.
Secondly, we enable people to obtain crypto without having to risk their funds to obtain it. Right now, the only option for a beginner to get involved in crypto is to buy coins on platforms like Coinbase, but we are offering an alternative where people can instead earn their first coins.
What are the competitive advantages of Bounty0x over other freelance services marketplaces (for example, Fiverr)?
All traditional freelance marketplaces, like UpWork or Fiverr, do not enable paying rewards in cryptocurrency. This is largely due to technical challenges and potential legal complications. At Bounty0x we decided to fill that gap.
How do you plan to prevent fraudulent behavior or solve disputes on your platform? For example, if there is a disagreement between the bounty hunter and the company that posted a reward about the quality of services provided or the size of the reward?
Every time there is a dispute, the Bounty0x team steps in to solve this. Bounty Hunters have a “dispute” button in their dashboard where they can open an appeal with the click of a button. Thankfully, disputes between Bounty Hunters and Hosts are rather rare.
Why did you choose Zichain trading platform for the listing of Bounty0x tokens? In your opinion, what are the key advantages of this collaboration?
BNTY is a core component of our platform since Bounty Hunters need the token to lower platform fees, and Bounty Sheriffs need BNTY to review work by Bounty Hunters.
We are always looking for ways to make it easier for our users to obtain BNTY for use on the platform, and Zichain seemed like a good fit to do so.
What are the main challenges of creating a marketing strategy for a crypto project? Would you say the approach to marketing in the crypto space is different from the tech industry in general?
Marketing in the crypto world is largely focused on education.
This technology is still very new and hard to understand, and at the core of each marketing strategy in this space needs to be the creation of educational articles, guides, and videos.
Marketing in crypto differs from marketing in other industries mainly in that many cryptocurrency holders are very skeptical by nature. This makes it crucial for a cryptocurrency company to focus on creating trust above all else.
What are the next steps for the project? Which milestones do you hope to achieve in 2019?
At the moment, Bounty0x is mostly centered around completing simple “bounty” tasks. We are now building some features that aim to accommodate more complicated traditional freelance tasks as well.
